The public has been concerned for the past week due to the fact that billionaires are building bunkers at a rapid rate. Mark Zuckerberg, founder of Facebook, is building a $270 million bunker on the northeast side of Hawaii's Kauai Island.
The site is 57,000 square feet and has a dozen buildings with a bunker lying underneath. Workers on the site stated they had to sign an NDA which prohibits them from speaking on the plans.
According to Wired, the bunker will have its own energy and food supplies and a "blast-resistant door".
Peter Thiel, founder of PayPal, originally planned to build his bunker in New Zealand however his plans were rejected in 2022. Since then Sam Altman and Thiel have an "arrangement" in the case of the world ending.
On the other hand, billionaires such as Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos have a different idea of going out to space. They mentioned bringing civilization to space in floating pods.
With 15 billionaires building bunkers within the past week being odd, users on social media have input their own opinions. Some speculate they know something we don't, with others believe it can be war, pollution, asteroids, AI taking over, and more.
