Apple has announced that its Vision Pro headset will be on shelves in the United States by this time next month. The Vision Pro will be released by February 2nd. The plan is to give customers the option to pre-order the $3,499 device from mid-January however the UK hasn't received a date yet.
The Vision Pro is the newest major shift in Apple products ever since the Apple Watch in 2015.
On the other hand, not everything is looking up for Apple this coming February.
Apple has cut down on production forecasts ever since its original release video for the headset. Originally being set at one million units, the forecast for production has been cut down to 400,000 units.
Apple has stated the device will have 256 GB of storage as well as ensuring the latest eye-tracking tech can track just one eye for those disabled and cannot control both.
Apple wants the new app developers to be unique when it comes to their app descriptions. Rather than describing their experiences as VR, AR, or MR, Apple is pushing them to brand it as "spatial computing".
It's not expected the majority will buy the Vision Pro, mainly stemming from the huge price tag.
